April 10th is the Reality Tour, so even if you haven't come to a meeting for a while, please try to attend and see how you might help that day! We will also be discussing future actions and the US Social Forum in June.

Homelessness in the Age of Foreclosures!!!

Cheri Honkala, the National Organizer of the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign, will describe how the US economic collapse created new homeless individuals, what poor people are doing around the country to fight back against their invisibility, and how others can join the movement to end poverty.
Cheri Honkala is a former welfare recipient and homeless single mother who has been on the front lines of the poverty struggle for more than 20 years. She is a housing rights activist and an anti-poverty organizer. She has been a leader of countless demonstrations against domestic policies that maintain homelessness and poverty.
